Dirty Faces 28 September 2017

After World War I there is a time of great hardship and poverty for the families of Wigan. The
Sheffield sisters lose their jobs at the local ammunition factory when the men come back. A
chance meeting with a local girl in the pub enables them to start work on the pit brow. Dirty
Face
covers their lives and what happens when their jobs are threatened by MPs in London and
the girls decide to march.

On The Go are an over 55’s Theatre Group who write, direct and perform their own plays, many
of which have an important historical feature. For this special performance they will be supported by Tony Berry and The Houghton Weavers.

Tickets £10 each
