In light of the continuing coronavirus situation, and following a committee meeting, our chairman David Smart has released a statement:
“Following the latest announcement from the government advising people to avoid social gatherings to limit the spread of coronavirus Bolton Little Theatre will be closed to the public from Wednesday 18 March until the end of the Season June 2020 so three productions will be cancelled. (Brighton Beach Memoirs, Crimes of the Heart, and Cider with Rosie)
As a small, amateur venue we were willing to do everything we could to carry on where possible, but we have to prioritise public health and the safety of our customers and volunteers.
Ticketholders for cancelled events will be contacted with details of how we process refunds. We thank ticketholders for their patience in a challenging time: while we .work to process refunds for customers. There may be delays due to high volumes.
Bolton Little Theatre is determined to keep working to bring art, music and creativity to as many people as we can. This means asking our customers to support us if they can.
As a non-funded registered charity, Bolton Little Theatre has been delivering high quality entertainment for nearly 90 years and we rely on the income from out box office and audience donations to survive. At this time if you feel you are able to support us by making a donation to support Bolton Little Theatre It will be gratefully received.
Finally, whether you’ve got tickets at the moment or not, you could choose to become a member for as little as £12 a year. The regular support of our members means a lot, and when things get back to normal you’ll get benefits like early access to lots of great shows.
Whatever you choose to do, we’re looking forward to getting together with you here again soon.”
Note: As part of this decision, our screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been postponed to Saturday 31st October 2020.
