FILM: Dirty Dancing Saturday 9 June 2018

“Nobody puts Baby in a corner!”

It’s the summer of 1963 and Baby is stuck at the Catskills with her parents. Bored but attempting to make the best of the situation, Baby attends the organised classes on merengue dancing and wig demonstration. Suddenly, all of that changes one evening when she discovers the campsite’s staff having their own wilder party and meets Johnny Castle, the resort’s dance instructor. With Johnny, Baby learns the steps to a new dance–a dirty dance–that allows her to discover new strengths and new talents, so she can define her own place in a rapidly changing world.

An unexpected box office hit in 1987, “Dirty Dancing” is a joyous romantic musical that wins new fans with every generation. Now it’s coming to the BLT big screen for one night.
